Top Questions

1. How long do you take to print my images?

We take between 5-7 days to print your images for orders <20 prints. If framing is required, the turnaround time will increase by another 10-12 working days.

 

2. One week is a long time. Why do you take so long to print an image?

We check you images for defects such as sensor dust and hot pixels before we print. This process takes time. Should you need your prints earlier, let us know. We may impose a $20 or 25% per print surcharge (whichever is higher) for rush jobs.

 

3. Can you print borderless?

In general: yes. For some print sizes that have the same dimensions as our roll width, a border is unavoidable as edge-to-edge printing is not practiced. We will advise you accordingly before proceeding with the print. So no worries.  

 

4. Can I do colour adjustments at your shop?

Yes. That's why we have a colour-calibrated monitor at our shop to begin with. However, do note that we there are other customers waiting to be served, we may request that you do the adjustments at a later time.

 

5. Do you accept payment by credit cards?

Yes. We accept Visa and Mastercard at the shop. Online payments are via Paypal. Payment must be settled before collection/shipment for online transactions.

 

6. Why does it cost the same to print on different types of fine art paper?

We want to take out the monetary factor when deciding which paper will work best for your image. Thus, all fine art papers cost the same to print for orders under 10 prints.

 

 

Print sizes and image quality

 

1. How big can I print to?

We stock rolls up to 60" (152cm) wide. The shorter side of your prints can be printed to these dimensions (excluding allowance for border). The longer side of your print can go beyond 5 metres. This is generally more than sufficient for most purposes. For pricing, please drop us a note.

 

2. Do you do smaller sized prints?

Yes, but these can be pricey compared to the options available on the market. Let us know your requirements.

 

3. My image do not meet your minimum pixel requirement. Can I still print?

Yes. Be aware that you will lose image details. ie the image may look blur on print.

 

4. Should I change the colour mode to CMYK?

No. Please keep the colour mode to RGB.

 

5. Which colour space should I use?

Depends. We prefer Adobe RGB. We can also handle files in ProPhoto RGB or sRGB. Drop us a note if unsure.

 

6. What file formats do you accept?

We prefer tiffs as these are lossless. Otherwise, jpegs or any other format that photoshop can open works fine. For RAW files, please also send us the corresponding XMP file if one exists.

 

7. Why is there a border for my print?

Some prints will come with a border as we do not do edge-to-edge printing. We will inform you of this before proceeding with the print.

 

 

Getting the colours you want

1. Can I do colour adjustments at your shop?

Yes. That's why we have a colour-calibrated monitor at our shop to begin with. However, do note that we there are other customers waiting to be served, we may request that you do the adjustments at a later time.

 

2. Can I have your icc profiles to soft-proof at my end?

Sure. They are here.

 

3. What if the colours of the print are not what I want?

We suggest you make a trip to our shop with either your file (to adjust at our end) or notebook to show us the colours you want. We will reprint at no charge.

 

4. Why does the colours of my image look different on your monitor?

Our monitors are calibrated taking into account the ambient lighting colour temperature. Let us know if the image looks different from your monitor that is calibrated using a similar process.

 

 

Turnaround and delivery

Yes. A $20 or 20% (whichever is higher) per print surcharge is applicable.

 

4. How are the prints packed?

Prints are generally packed into mailing tubes. Flat packaging is available on request. Surcharges for flat packaging is applicable for print sizes with longer side > 60cm.

 

5. What are your delivery charges?

Delivery charges range from $6 onwards depending on the size of the print or frame. A mailing tube that is 60cm tall costs $8 to deliver for example. Delivery charges for framed works start from $50.

 

 

Payment

1. Can you collect payment during delivery?

Yes. Let us know that you would like to settle payment during delivery. For framed works, only cheques are accepted.

 

2. Do you accept payment by credit cards?

We do not accept payment by credit cards and NETS at the shop. If you prefer to pay by credit cards, we can send you the bill via Paypal. Payment must be settled before collection.

 

3. Do you accept cheques for payment?

Yes. Cheques should be made payable to Wall Your Photos LLP.
